Art Deco Swimwear

Seafolly- Deco Empire Swimsuit
Black and white/gold Art Deco design halterneck swimsuit.

Gorgeous pattern contouring to the body shape of the suit. Looks striking and bold- unusual and something not seen just anywhere. This sort of bold style is something I would love to do with my merchandise. The repeating motifs make for an effective statement and help catch the eye, directing it around the design.

Red Carter- Deco String Bikini
Black and white string style bikini with geometric Art Deco pattern.

Keeping to traditional Art Deco bold black and white with snazzy geometric detailing. Uses a lot of triangles and sharp angles.

Mara Hoffman- Sunshine State Bikini
Modern style cami style bikini.

This bikini moves away from the more usual black and white to a flurry of modern colours. The linework is still very authentic, with a symmetrical design and lots of striking geometric shapes. These sorts of colours are what I would love to use in my designs, to literally give the Deco designs a 'new classic' feel.

Maryan Mehlhorn- 2014 Art Deco High Neck One Piece Swimsuit
As you can probably guess, this swimsuit features a high neckline and is a one piece suit.

This suit differs in that it's design is of an ovaltine 'wavelength' pattern of again, rather contemporary colours. I think if this suit was in pure black and white it definitely would lose the subtle charm it has.
